Protect your brand and invention in India
India is one of the world's largest markets and a fast-growing source of copycats. We register and defend trademarks, patents, designs and copyright in India for foreign companies, startups and IP firms, with reporting in English and fixed quotes before we act.

Questions from foreign applicants
Can a foreign company register a trademark in India?
Yes. Foreign individuals and companies can file in India directly, through the Madrid Protocol designating India, or with a Paris Convention priority claim within 6 months of their home filing. A foreign applicant without a place of business in India must give an address for service in India, which is usually its Indian agent's office.
Do foreign applicants need an Indian agent?
In practice, yes. Applicants with no place of business in India need an address for service in India, and correspondence, objections and hearings are handled through it. We act as your agent and address for service.
How does a foreign company get a patent in India?
Either by entering the Indian national phase of a PCT application within 31 months of the priority date, or by filing a Convention application in India within 12 months of the first filing abroad. Patent work at CorpBridge is handled only by registered patent agents.
Which Trade Marks Registry office handles a foreign applicant?
The office is decided by the address for service in India given in the application. With our address in Faridabad, Haryana, applications are handled by the New Delhi office of the Trade Marks Registry.
What fees do foreign applicants pay in India?
Foreign companies usually pay the standard (non-small-entity) official fees: for example ₹9,000 per class to file a trademark online, and ₹8,000 to file a patent application online with ₹20,000 for examination. Our professional fees for foreign clients are listed in US dollars on this page; official fees are paid in INR at actuals.
Can you act for foreign law firms?
Yes. We work as Indian associates for foreign IP firms: instructions by email, reporting in English, deadlines docketed on receipt, and costs confirmed before we act.
